Choose the Halloween character you want to try

Vampire: costume and makeup together

This look pairs a black high-collar shirt and tailored trousers with a burgundy velvet waistcoat and a long, crimson-lined cape. Burgundy and charcoal eyeshadow, winged black eyeliner and opaque wine-dark lipstick complete the makeup. The prompt keeps your face visible and asks for your natural skin tone and facial structure to stay recognizable. It avoids blood, wounds and masks, making this a costume portrait rather than a gore effect.

Night Witch: a purple costume silhouette

For a different mood, select Night Witch in the look picker. It uses a dark-purple pointed hat, flowing purple hair, a black high-neck dress, opaque sleeves and tights, and buckled ankle boots. Saturated violet eyeshadow, sharp black eyeliner wings, dark plum lips and a small silver star accent match the character. Compare the silhouette you prefer before spending time assembling a real outfit. Each new generation uses another credit.

From your photo to a Halloween portrait

  1. Start with one clear photo. Use a front-facing adult portrait in even light, with your eyes visible. A wider shot helps if you want the cape and trousers to appear; a tight selfie gives the model less information about the rest of your body.
  2. Choose your character. The generator starts in Cosplay mode with Halloween Vampire selected. Keep that preset for the combined costume and makeup treatment, or choose Night Witch for a different outfit. You can explore more original characters on the main cosplay page.
  3. Confirm consent and generate. Sign in to use your available credit. Review the resulting face, clothes and makeup before saving it. If the result is a free preview, the watermark and preview size remain until you purchase a credit pack to unlock the original.

A portrait crop and a costume preview answer different questions

If you mainly want to see how dramatic red-black eye makeup and wine-dark lipstick read on your face, begin with a clear portrait that includes your head and shoulders. If you are comparing the overall costume, leave room around your torso and legs so the model can show more of the outfit. The tool can invent clothing outside the original crop, but those details are a creative interpretation. A generated cape is useful as visual inspiration; it does not verify how a real garment will fit or move.

Check the face before you share the look

Makeup changes contrast around the eyes and mouth, which can make a familiar face feel different even when the proportions are close. Compare the result with your source photo: are the eyes aligned, is the nose recognizable, and does the jaw still feel like yours? Avoid stacking a beauty filter on top of an already filtered input. Also check cape edges, hands and accessories for AI artifacts. Results vary, and a new attempt may differ rather than reproduce the same makeup exactly.

Use it as a costume moodboard or a seasonal avatar

A Halloween portrait can help you decide whether you prefer a dramatic cape or a pointed witch hat, or give you an image for a personal party invitation and seasonal profile picture. Treat the makeup as a visual concept, not a step-by-step cosmetics tutorial. The output does not identify real products or test them on your skin. When posting your portrait, make clear that it is an AI edit where that context matters. For more wardrobe ideas beyond Halloween, explore the AI cosplay generator.

What happens to the photo you upload?

Your photo is processed on the server with the image and moderation services used by GenderFlip. This is not an edit that runs entirely on your device. Read the Privacy Policy for the current storage, provider and retention details, and only upload a photo you are comfortable processing under those terms. The consent checkbox is part of the generation flow. Saving or sharing a result is a separate choice after you have reviewed it.

Halloween photo questions

What does the AI Halloween costume generator do?

It edits a photo of you into a Halloween character portrait. The Vampire preset combines a black and crimson cape, burgundy waistcoat, swept-back hair, dramatic red-black eye makeup and wine-dark lipstick. The Night Witch preset pairs a purple witch outfit and hair with violet eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, plum lipstick and a small silver star accent. Both use the existing Cosplay generator; neither requires you to own the costume or write a prompt.

Can I try Halloween makeup without changing my clothes?

The current Vampire and Night Witch presets combine makeup with a costume and hairstyle. It is not a makeup-only editor, and individual makeup details cannot be adjusted separately. Choose either when you want an overall Halloween portrait. If you only want to compare eyeliner shades while keeping your clothes unchanged, this preset does not offer that level of control.

Is my first Halloween photo free?

New accounts receive 1 credit for 1 free standard generation. Sign in before generating. For users who have never purchased a pack, the free result is a watermarked 768px preview. Buying any credit pack unlocks the full-resolution original without the watermark. Further standard generations use credits; packs are one-time purchases, with no subscription required.

Will it still look like me?

The instructions ask the AI to preserve your identity, facial structure and skin tone while changing your costume, hairstyle and cosmetic makeup. This is a goal rather than a guarantee: the model can still change small details. Check your eyes, nose and jaw against the original. A clear, evenly lit source photo gives the model a better starting point than a heavily filtered selfie.

Can I upload a group photo or a photo of someone else?

Use a clear photo of yourself as an adult, with one person visible. The costume presets are designed around a single consenting adult subject. A crowded party photo makes it unclear which person to edit and can produce mixed clothing or facial details. Take a separate portrait before trying the look, and follow the consent requirements shown in the generator.

Is this a live Halloween camera filter or a video generator?

This page starts with an uploaded still photo and produces a still image through server-side AI processing. It is not a live camera effect. The generator may offer a before-and-after reveal export after a successful image generation; that is a presentation of your photos, not a newly filmed or AI-animated performance. You do not need to install an app to use the photo tool.
